The IntelŪ Processor Frequency ID Utility was developed by Intel Corporation to enable consumers with the ability to identify and, in some circumstances, determine if their Intel processor is operating at the correct and rated frequency intended by Intel Corporation. Beginning with the PentiumŪ processor, this utility provides consumers with the ability to determine standard CPU identification of Intel processors. In addition, begining with the Pentium III processor, the Frequency Test Tab of the utility can also help determine if a processor has been overclocked.

Keep up to date with the Internet Software scene by subscribing to the free CWSApps newsletter. Subscribers will receive a daily (HTML) or weekly (text) e-mail summary of 'net software updates as well as the latest software news. _
There have numerous new computer viruses/ trojan horses being reported on an almost daily basis and this trend will probably accelerate as we approach 1/1/2000. If you already running an anti-virus program make sure it is a current version and that you check the virus signature updates on a frquent basis (every couple of days) until we get through the first few weeks of Y-2000.
If you do not already have antivirus software running on your computer then try out the FREE fully operational anti-virus program, InoculateIT Personal Edition by CA. I have been running this program for the past four months and am very satisfied with it's performance and the frequency of its virus signature updates (there have been 5 updates since 12-1-99). If you are already running the 4.5 version of this software then you need upgrade to 5.0.
