Tech Problem Explained:

I had a problem for a several months with my various browsers being unable to find web sites that I knew were in existence. Often times if I left the "www" off the url address then the site would load. The problem corrected itself when I installed a patch for the IE browser. Fred Langa in an article at http://www.langa.com/newsletters/2000/2000-04-03.htm#5 explains what was probably causing the problem and the fix for it. As I suspected it was a file problem in the Windows OS. So much for the evil demon possession theory :)

Enfish Onespace acts like a personal desktop portal, enabling you to work with all the information you want from both your PC and the Internet in one convenient place. It keeps your personal information on your own PC, not on the Internet – providing you with maximum privacy and control. I particularly like its ability to do a text search on all the E-mails, Favorites and other data located on your computer. It is currently in beta but it is definitely worth considering.
